Mini-Retreat Event Landscape.png

An intimate afternoon for reflection, embodiment, and reconnection to yourself — designed especially for women ready to heal, release, and return home to their own soul.

Does this feel familiar?

You might be high-functioning, capable, and caring — yet still find yourself:

  • Over-giving and people-pleasing

  • Struggling to set boundaries without guilt

  • Feeling emotionally responsible for others

  • Putting your needs last

  • Feeling unseen, unheard, or emotionally alone

These are not flaws. They are expressions of the Mother Wound formed when your emotional needs weren’t fully met early in life.

✨ And they can be healed.

This mini-retreat is a safe, embodied healing space where your nervous system can finally slow down.

During this afternoon, you will:

✨ Reconnect with your body and inner voice
✨ Gently explore how the Mother Wound shows up
✨ Release emotional heaviness stored in the body
✨ Feel seen, validated, and supported
✨ Leave feeling calmer, lighter, and more grounded

Healing happens through presence, not pressure.

This Is Not About Fixing Yourself

"Marisa held the space in a gentle yet powerful way. Being prompted to share my experiences and hearing yours and the other participants' was extremely healing. I definitely recommend this to any woman who has the mother wound. Being part of a supportive group of other women, led by a skilled facilitator, can make a huge difference in your life."

Marisa Sim

Marisa is a mother wound survivor who has transformed her healing journey into her life’s purpose. After 13 years of exploring diverse modalities to heal herself, she noticed a powerful pattern in her holistic health coaching clients: many were struggling with burnout and self-sacrifice rooted in the Mother Wound.

In 2023, she became a trauma-informed coach dedicated to helping women break these generational patterns and reclaim their self-worth. Today, as a mother of two, she is committed to being a cycle-breaker—choosing compassion, presence, and healing so her children grow up with a different, healthier story.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need prior experience with healing or trauma work?
No. This retreat is suitable whether you are new to inner work or have been on your healing journey for years. Everything is guided gently, and you’re always invited — never forced — to participate at your own pace.

What if my relationship with my mother wasn’t “that bad”?
The Mother Wound isn’t about blame or trauma comparisons. Many women carry a Mother Wound even if their mother “did her best.” This space is about your experience and how early dynamics may still impact you today.

Will I have to share personal stories in front of the group?
No. Sharing is always optional. You are welcome to reflect quietly, journal, or participate internally. This is not a group-sharing circle where you’re expected to speak.

Is this retreat emotionally intense?
The work is deep, but it is intentionally designed to be nervous-system safe. We focus on embodiment, grounding, and resourcing so you don’t feel overwhelmed or re-traumatised.

What if strong emotions come up?
Strong emotions are welcome — and you’ll be supported throughout. You’ll be guided to stay connected to your body and grounded, rather than getting lost in the story.

Is this therapy?
No. This is a coaching- and embodiment-based healing experience, not therapy. However, many women find it deeply complementary to therapy and report profound shifts.

What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move and relax in. Layers are recommended so you can adjust as needed.

Do I need to bring anything?
Just yourself, and your journal if you have one. All other materials, snacks, drinks, and your goody bag are provided.

Will food allergies or dietary needs be accommodated?
Yes. Please let us know any dietary requirements when you book, and we’ll do our best to accommodate them.

Is this retreat suitable if I’m currently overwhelmed or burnt out?
Yes — and often especially supportive. This space is designed to meet you where you are, without requiring energy, positivity, or performance.

How many women will be attending?
Spaces are intentionally limited to ensure safety, intimacy, and individual attention.

What happens after the retreat?

You’ll leave with tools, insights, and embodied awareness you can continue to integrate at home. Many women describe the retreat as a turning point rather than a one-off experience. We will also check-in with you two weeks after the retreat.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?
Due to the intimate nature of the retreat and limited spaces, tickets are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your ticket to another woman if needed.

I feel nervous — is that normal?
Very. Many women feel both called and scared. That doesn’t mean it’s not right for you — it often means something important is ready to shift. You can email Marisa at ms@marisasim.com to book a 15-minute chat.
